Cordus O. “Corky” Osborne, 84, of New Providence, entered into rest on Friday, October 21, 2016. Born in Ashe Co. NC, he was the son of the late Claude and Nancy (Greer) Osborne. He and his wife, Virginia M. (Dowell) Osborne had celebrated 64 years of marriage in March. Corky worked and retired as a construction electrician with IBEW. He was a very active member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church where he served in many capacities including; Deacon, Youth Leader and Sunday School Director. He enjoyed hunting and gardening, but most of all Corky enjoyed his family. He was a good father and husband. Surviving besides his wife are sons; Michael, husband of Kathi of Ft. Pierce, FL., Terry B., husband of Hazel of Blossburg, PA, Raleigh C., husband of Peggy of Peach Bottom, Scott N., husband of Beth of Peach Bottom and Kip, husband of Lisa of Waco, TX along with 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a sister, Pearl, wife of Robert Cochran and brothers, Herbert and Raymond.
A celebration of life service will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Wrightsdale Baptist Church, 310 Little Britain Rd., Peach Bottom, PA at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Sheldon officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service and also immediately following. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to the Wrightsdale Baptist Church Building Fund at the above address.
