Cheri S. Paterson of Quarryville died on Thursday evening, October 9, 2014. She was 68. Mrs. Paterson was born in California, a daughter of the late Robert and Sue Snyder Wolgast. She enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Florida. She also enjoyed attending street rod events with her husband. Mrs. Paterson is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronald E. Paterson; two sons, Michael E., husband of Kim Paterson of Holtwood, and Joseph R. Paterson of Quarryville; two grandchildren, Audrey and Benjamin; and two brothers, Donald Snyder and Frank Snyder. Patricia A. "Patty" Levering of Quarryville died on Friday, October 10, 2014, following a long illness. She was 57. Mrs. Levering was born in West Grove, a daughter of Shirley May Marlin Speakman of Peach Bottom and the late James Reburn. She worked for Pepperidge Farms, Denver, for 18 years. Bernice Kaarlo Suominen, 72, of Pumping Station Road, Quarryville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Lucille Furches Suominen. They celebrated 26 years of marriage. Bernie had retired after 42 years of service with the Chrysler Automotive Corp., Newark, DE. William Steele, III, 63, of Pequea died Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was the husband of Esther Harman Steele. Born in Elkton MD, he was the son of Irwin and Louanne Stover Steele. William served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Megan E. Millhouse Kirk of Peach Bottom died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was 43. Mrs. Kirk was a daughter of George Millhouse of and Ann Hoak. She was a homemaker, wife, and mother. Mrs. Kirk enjoyed painting, cooking, and horses. Cora M. Trimble of Groffdale Dr., Quarryville, Pa., died at home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. She was 84. Mrs. Trimble was born in Colora, a daughter of the late Rome and Clara McCall Howell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Trimble enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, solving crossword puzzles, and playing with her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and especially enjoyed her dogs. Melvin E. Rineer died at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Monday, September 29, 2014. He was 88. Mr. Rineer was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Daniel and Ella Groff Rineer. He lived in Willow Street before moving to the retirement community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Roberta A. (McConomy) “Bobbie” Paulson, 78, of Quarryville, entered the Kingdom of God on Monday, September 29, 2014 at home with her family by her side. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Dorothea (Marshall) McConomy. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William A. Paulson, Sr. (PECO). Bobbie lived her early childhood years in Atlantic City, NJ. She attended Holy Spirit School and was a drum majorette. Bobbie met her husband, Billy, in Southwest Philadelphia, where it all “started with a wink.” |
