A Disco Inferno is coming to Elkton.
The Trammps, featuring Earl Young, a Philadelphia-based 70s disco and soul super group, will be part of Elkton's Fall Fest 21st year.
"We're gearing up for Fall Fest," said Jessica Price, administrative assistant for Elkton Alliance.
The event is scheduled for Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16. Vendors are being asked to sign on early. Vendor spaces are $65 for non-profits, $100 for for-profits, and $125 for political causes.
Friday is the kick-off party and downtown Car Show from 5-8 p.m.
Streets will close at 3 p.m. Live entertainment on the North Street stage will feature Leon Smith's Up All Night Band.
The band will perform from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, crafters and vendors will set up from 6-8 a.m. There are typically 60-70 vendors with a variety of items including fall decor. The perennial favorite, the Cecil 500 Push Cart Derby, featuring Cub Scouts begins on North Street at 9:30 a.m. Registration for the Pretty Baby Contest, also on the North Street stage, runs from 9-9:45 a.m. The contest begins at 10 a.m. "Some years pretty baby is huge," said Price.
There will be a variety of demonstrations, including Super Dojo, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 on the North Street stage. Dancers from Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio will perform beginning at 1 p.m. The Elkton Voice singing competition begins at 3 p.m.
The Trammps take the stage at 6 p.m. and perform until 7:30 p.m.
