The Mounts topped the Mules 25-14, 25-9, 25-16 on Tuesday, October 8. Madis Davis had six assists, six digs, and two aces. Jada Dow supplied six digs and Emma Canale recorded three blocks. Kennard-Dale 3, Solanco 1 The host Mules lost 25-22, 20-25, 25-22, 25-14 Monday night, October 7. "In the fourth set our passing kind of went away and we stopped talking to one another and dug ourselves a little too deep [of a hole]," Solanco coach Meghan Cross said. "Unfortunately we couldn't get points to go our way. But in the first three sets I thought it was even play. Kennard-Dale is a scrappy team. They were digging up everything. We had some hard hits and they were getting them. But we played a lot better. They were playing better as a team. If we had won the third set I think it could have turned out a lot differently It's a total momentum game." Molinarez and Cutler each had five kills. Canale contributed seven blocks and Alondra Quinonez served six aces. Davis dished out 10 assists and Maggie Perry provided 15 digs. After a strong first three sets, Solanco's defense started reaching instead of moving into better position before making a play. "We did slow down in the fourth set," said Cross. "We weren't moving our feet. We were kind of stuck to the ground so we've got to constantly be moving." Comments are closed.
