The Solanco JV baseball team won two of three games last week.
Penn Manor defeated the Mules 12-3. "It wasn’t the Mules day as pitchers and fielders struggled," coach John Girvin said. In fact, the time limit on the game (1 hour and 45 minutes) forced the game to end after five innings. The Solanco JV softball team recorded three victories last week.
The Mules topped Penn Manor 9-2 Friday. Kalyn Burger and Makayla Pluck combined to pitch Solanco to the victory. Solanco's JV softball team finally got on the field last week.
They made up for lost time. The Mules recorded a pair of lopsided victories over Elizabethtown and Conestoga Valley. The Solanco JV baseball team has been road warriors.
Unable to practice outside and then displaced from their own field by the varsity squad, the Mules have persevered, winning three games last week to improve to 4-1 on the season. On Friday, Solanco posted a walk-off win as the Mules were designated as the home team despite being forced to play at Elizabethtown. The Solanco JV boys basketball team closed out the season with a 50-46 triumph over host Kennard Dale Friday.
The Solanco JV boys basketball team bounced back from two league losses to knock off non-conference foe Avon Grove 58-23 Saturday night.

Lancaster Catholic defeated the Mules 57-26 Saturday night. Jen Eberly paced Solanco with nine points. Rachel Trout and Sarah Frawley each added four. The Solanco JV boys basketball team lost two games to Section One foes last week. Penn Manor downed the Mules 45-35 Friday. Ethan Cairns contributed eight points to pace Solanco. Keith Carnrike added seven. Troy Berry and Cole Boxleitner each provided four. Kenton Frank, Colin Kilgore, Noah McCardell, and Dawson Gote each scored two points. Penn Manor led 23-14 at halftime. "In the second half we made some defensive adjustments," Solanco coach Chad McDowell said. "Penn Manor had two players who had most of their points so we employed a triangle and two defense and really confused them. The Solanco JV girls basketball team recorded two victories last week.
The Mules downed Penn Manor 35-24 Friday night. Trailing 9-6 at the end of the first quarter, Solanco switched to a 1-3-1 zone in the second. The Mules forced a lot of turnovers and held a 24-13 cushion at halftime. The Solanco JV boys basketball team lost twice after recording an overtime victory.
