Perryville girls track and field team finished first and the boys were second in a home three-team meet last Tuesday, April 4. The girls (98.5) topped Bo Manor (44) and Elkton (39.5). Kailee McCutchen claimed the two hurdle events. Jarah Cevis won the shot put and was second in the discus whith her teammate Christen Dodson took first. Ellie Kuhn prevailed in the triple jump. Mckayla Reeves captured the high jump. Megan O'Neal won the long jump for Elks For Bo Manor, Kristen Walz swept the 400 and 800 meter distance races. Elle Meyer took the 1600 and Aubrey Preseke triumphed in the 3200. The Elks' took two of the relay races, Rae'oni Garnett, Kyla Wilson, Sonali Shahm and Makayla Peterson, combined triumphed in the 4x200 and the 4x400. In the boys team competition, Bo Manor (83) defeated Perryville (73), and Elkton (27). The Eagles, took four of the distance races, John Knight took the 400, Jack Franceschina triumphed in the 800. Alex Longeway won the 1600 and Grant Franceschina took the 3200. Bo Manor took three of the relay events. Anthony Egurola, Cameron Garcia, John Knight, and Robert Messick, collectively triumphed in the 4x100. Grant Franceschina, Jack Franceschina, Zachary Laird, and Alex Longeway combined took the win in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. Egurola prevailed in the hurdle event and Damian Zimmers took the high jump. The Panthers' Caleb Robinson triumphed in the 100 and 200 distance relays. Alex Hernandez, Cage Jones, Chris Schuler, and Robinson, took the 4x200 meter relay. Teryl Cain swept the shot put. Jones triumphed in the pole vault and long jump. Sean McDonald won the triple jump.
