C. Milton Wright swept both the boys and girls team titles at the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference track and field meet held in Perryville Thursday and Saturday. The Mustangs (169) prevailed in the girls competition over the Panthers (116.5), Harford Tech (84), Aberdeen (75), Bel Air (42.75), North Harford and Patterson Mill (30), Rising Sun (29.5), Edgewood (25), Elkton (24), Joppatowne (21), Bohemia Manor (19.25), North East (18), and Fallston (17). Hailey McDonald of Perryville won the pole vault Thursday by clearing a school record 9-6. McDonald had vaulted 9-2 to set the record earlier in the season before Paiton Kelly cleared 9-4 in the final regular season meet. McDonald also placed fourth in the high jump.
Sierra Montz, Brooke Doane, Autumn Estep, and JayMarie Woods each earned points in four different events. Montz was second in the 300 hurdles, third in the high hurdles, and eighth in the long jump. She teamed with Estep, Alysa Conway, and Doane to place second in the 4 x 400 relay. Doane finished third in the triple jump, fourth in the long jump, and seventh in the 800. Estep was third in the 400 and fourth in the 800. She combined with Katelyn Broughman, JayMarie Woods, and Christen Dodson to place second in the 4 x 2000 relay. Woods was fifth in both hurdles races and in the 4 x 100 relay along withBroughman, Dodson, and Andrea Negron. Conway placed second in the 400. Teri Wennersten was third in the high jump and Kelly finished third in the pole vault with Erica Scheppelmann tied for fifth. Dodson was fifth in the discus, two spots ahead of Jillian Miller. Kayla Losoya (300 hurdles) and Jarah Cevis (shot put) also earned a seventh place finish. For Rising Sun, Alanah Bell placed second in the 3200. Heather Martin was fourth in the pole vault and eighth in the triple jump. Teresa Reid recorded a fourth place finish in the 3200 and seventh place finish in the 1600. Madison Webb was sixth in the 400 and Autumn Russell finished in a tie for eighth in the high jump. In the boys team competition, C. Milton Wright (117) defeated Aberdeen (84), Perryville (81), Bohemia Manor (60), Bel Air (56), North East (53), Edgewood (49), Elkton (47), Havre de Grace (46), Fallston (35), Rising Sun (28), North Harford (21), Harford Tech (19), and Patterson Mill (5). The Panthers' TyRell Hollingsworth, Elijah Johnson, Marquis Topp, and and Corban Porch each had two point-winning individual performances. Hollingsworth was second in both the 400 and triple jump. Johnson placed second in the long jump and third in the triple jump. Topp finished fourth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump. Porch placed fifth in the pole vault and sixth in the high hurdles. Tanner Bird (high hurdles) and Cam Crosler (pole vault) both had a fourth place finish. Cage Jones (pole vault) and Tyleke Johnson (high jump) both notched a seventh place finish. Johnson, Topp, Deshaun Bryant, and Zach Buckson teamed for a fourth place finish in the 4 x 200 relay. Johnson, Bryant, Anthony Hernandez, and Caleb Robinson combined to place second in the 4 x 100 relay. Alex Kerns of Rising Sun won the discus and also placed sixth in the shot put.
