The Rising Sun volleyball team swept visiting Bohemia Manor Tuesday, September 26.
The Tigers triumphed 25-15, 25-14, 25-23. The Perryville golf team completed a regular season sweep of county foes with a 220-256 victory over Rising Sun last Thursday afternoon on the Back 9 of Furnace Bay.

Perryville's football team demonstrated it's occasionally how you finish that matters most. The Panthers (2-0) clawed out of an early 13-point hole en route to a 21-19 triumph over Largo Friday night in a game played at Rising Sun High School. Ivan Herrera is still using his feet to make an impact on the athletic fields.
So far, he's getting more kicks on the soccer pitch than he did on the gridiron. Herrera's first-half goal helped the Rising Sun boys soccer team edge Elkton 2-1 last Thursday night at Calvert Regional Park. Amanda Haraldsson doesn't remember how many goals she scored last year other than to say "not many."
Last Thursday, Haraldsson had a game she won't soon forget. The junior forward tallied three times to propel the Rising Sun field hockey team to a 5-1 triumph over Perryville at Calvert Regional Park.
