Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Ressler Jr., 71, of Pequea passed away Tuesday night, July 21, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born October 21, 1943 in Cramer, PA, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Emily Ressler. He was the loving husband of Donna M. Ressler for 52 years. Woody retired from Yellow Freight after 30 years as a diesel mechanic. In his retirement he worked as a truck driver for Penske Truck Leasing. He was a life member of the Pequea Valley Sportsmen Association and an active member of the Pequea Boat Club. He loved boating, riding motorcycle, racing and anything to do with working on cars. Woody also enjoyed watching a good old John Wayne western movie while sitting on his beloved couch in the company of his dogs. He will be dearly missed by everyone he knew. In addition to his loving wife Donna, Woody is survived by his sister Elaine Gehman of Lancaster; his daughters Debra Brown of Pequea, Holly Pisani of Lancaster, Robin Rynier of Holtwood; his son Woodrow Ressler III of Pequea; his seven grandchildren (Craig, Branden, Danielle, Tierney, Kirsten, Tyler and Connor); his two great-grandchildren (Haylee and Aiden); one niece Laura Hambleton and was preceded in death by his nephew Leon Gehman Jr.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.
