Thomas G. Mullin Jr. of Woodcrest Villa, Lancaster, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He was 84. Mr. Mullin graduated from Williamson Trade School in 1947 and worked as a program manger for Thiokol Corp., Elkton, Md., until he retired. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy. A master carpenter, he enjoyed woodworking and playing golf. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Quarryville; a past master of Hiram Lodge 25, F.& A.M., Newark, Del.; a member of Toastmasters; and a worthy patron of Robert Fulton Chapter 446, Order of the Eastern Star.
Mr. Mullin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Virginia Baxter Long Mullin; two daughters, Janet Sample, wife of Jack Kurman, and Joyce, wife of Steve Beaudet; two sons, Mitchell, husband of Michelle Long, and Marshall, husband of Cathleen Long; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Donna Brackin Long; and his sister, Louise, wife of Frank James. His first wife, Joan Divine Mullin, died in 1980. A son, Michael Long, and a sister, Audrey Long, are deceased. Friends called at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 5, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, at Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S. Hess St., Quarryville. Services were held from the church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square.
