Nancy T. Thompson Foulk of Cochranville died at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Monday, May 13, 2013. She was 86. Mrs. Foulk was born in West Grove, a daughter of the late H. Taylor and Helen Edwards Thompson. She was a 1944 graduate of Oxford High School and a graduate of the Franklin School of Science and Arts, Philadelphia. Mrs. Foulk worked as an X-ray technician in Endicott, N.Y., and Philadelphia. She had been a member of Manor Presbyterian Church, were she served as trustee and deaconess. She also served as the treasurer of Faggs Manor Cemetery for 20 years. Mrs. Foulk was also a member of the West Grove Women's Club, the West Grove Mothers' Council, and a charter member of the Community Memorial Hospital's Auxiliary.
As an auxiliary member, she worked in the Monarch Cafe. She was also a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Kirkwood. Mrs. Foulk is survived by three children, William Thompson Foulk of Cochranville, Richard Jefferson, husband of Sylvia Foulk of Kirkwood, and Cynthia Foulk, wife of Jeffrey Eastburn of Landenberg; three grandchildren; Michael J., husband of Joann of New York, N.Y., Aliah Mei and Lily Grace Foulk, both of Quarryville; two siblings, Hugh Thompson of Cochranville and Patricia Krimmel of Pittsburgh; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her husband, Thomas J. Foulk, died in 2010. A sister, Alice Joyce Thompson, and a grandson, Nathaniel F. Davis, are also deceased. A memorial service was held from Union Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17. Comments are closed.
