Nancy M. “Granny” Hertz, 83, of New Providence, entered into rest on Sunday, November 8, 2015. Born in Rawlinsville, she was a daughter of the late William and Blanche (Groff) Tomlinson. Her husband, Daniel Hertz died in 2001. Nancy retired from Alcoa in Lancaster. She was a member of the New Providence Mennonite Church. She enjoyed her beach house in Rehoboth, playing Pinochle and most of all sharing her unconditional love and kindness with family and friends. Nancy is survived by daughters: Dawn, wife of Joseph Gallagher of New Providence and Kathy Fisher of Newmanstown, PA. along with five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a brother William, husband of Dottie Tomlinson of Quarryville, a sister Martha, wife of Allan Moore of Lancaster, a sister Margaret Mussleman of Chester County, and a sister Millie Labezius of Conestoga.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael, a brother Richard, a sister Helen Wendler and her four-legged friend, “Gidget”. Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment in Clearfield United Methodist Cemetery will be private.
