Worth V. Roark, 87, entered into rest on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in Ashe County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late James and Ruth (Woods) Roark. He was married to the late Joan (Shortlidge) Roark. Worth was a service manager at Sloan Ford in West Grove. Later he did auto body repair work for Duncan’s Body Shop in Oxford until he opened his own auto body shop in Tayloria. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. Worth is survived by a son, Virgil E. Roark, husband of Brenda Roark, of Quarryville, along with his grandchildren, Caley Roark, husband of Melissa, and Cori, wife of Jason Hess, his 3 great-grandchildren, Addie, Noah, and Kira, and 2 sisters, Helen Parks and Maxine Copenhaver, both of Virginia. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Mize, Hazel Jones, and Betty Krings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Middle Octorara Church, 1199 Valley Road, Quarryville, PA 17566, with a viewing at the church from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment will be at Middle Octorara Church Cemetery. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to the Middle Octorara Church Mission Fund at the above church address.
