Dorothy J. Jackson, 70, of Peach Bottom, entered into rest on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Bartley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ray M. and Emma Leah (Hegerman) Collins. She was married to A. William “Bill” Jackson for 49 years. Dorothy had been a waitress at Willow Valley and had also been past owner of the Post House Restaurant in Nottingham. She was a member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church. She loved flower gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Peach Bottom; 3 grandsons: Jerrad M. Eckman of Peach Bottom; M. Tyler Eckman of Peach Bottom; and Derek S. Eckman of Holtwood; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson and her identical twin sister, Doris J. Roland.
Funeral Services will take place at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Rd., Peach Bottom, PA 17563 on Friday, July 24, 2015 with Rev. Tom Milligan officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church from 10-11 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
