Charles J. “Chuck” Gallagher, 62, of Little Britain, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Jennersville Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine T. (Szymanski) Gallagher, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Donna M. (Morrison) Gallagher. Chuck attended John Bartram High School in Philadelphia. In 1986 he attended the Pennsylvania State Police Academy to receive Motor Vehicle Certification. For 28 years he worked as an examiner, first for the PA State Police, and later PennDot, evaluating those obtaining various classes of driver’s licenses. Chuck became involved in fire service later in life. For the last 10 years he was an active member of Robert Fulton Fire Company and he loved to be there and serve there. Chuck was the current Fire Police Captain, he served as a driver, and he responded to medical emergencies. He could also be found working in the kitchen to prepare food for those on an active fire call. Over the years, Chuck received the Top Responder Award, Chief’s Award, and Citizen Lifesaving Award. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending auctions and mud sales, and he looked forward to the fund raisers at other fire companies, especially those that involved food sales or a meal.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Thomas (Amanda) Gallagher, of Falmouth, Charles J. (Danya) Gallagher, Jr., of Virginia, and James (Jennifer) Gallagher, of Little Britain; grandchildren, Alex, Peyton, Rylee, and Mackenzie; and a God-Son, Walter (Erica) Bare, of Little Britain.
