Carter James Bishop, 9, of Oxford Pennsylvania, passed Saturday, July 24th 2021. Born on May 31, 2012 he was the son of Alexander and Melissa Hensley Bishop both of Oxford. I’m a banana! Probably the one phrase we heard more than anything from Carter. A young man to be, from the boy he was. A life that was too short but one that was one of joy, laughter, love and kindness. Carter was a goofball at heart. Always quick to make a funny face and talk in a goofy manner. Always smiling always laughing. Carter was like no other. A heart that would rival world leaders who cared for many. A lover of animals, a text book of biological information. Carter was quick to make a joke, quick to bug his big sister, quick to protect his little sister, quick to love his mother and father, quick to say “I’m a banana”. Carter loved his video games, never wore a shirt and proclaimed his love for his mother. He loved his Mac n cheese, a steady diet would have suited him just fine. Carter was loved by all he came in contact with. His mother’s intention of a gentleman and his father’s intention to be strong. Carter James Bishop was loved and loved many. His memory will be honored every day by all of those who loved and adored him. He is survived by his parents; #1 homie, Don Ryan; two sisters, Makayla Bishop and Jeri Ryan; grandparents; Bonnie Nelson, Randy Hensley, Connie McCoy, Michael Ryan, Mimi Jessica Bishop and Andrea Ryan; and one uncle, James Bishop.
He was preceded in death and greeted with open arms by his grandfather, Jerry Nelson and great-grandfather, Don Walliegh. Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends and family may visit from 9 – 11 am. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Oxford, PA. On-line condolences may be made at www.elcollinsfuneralhome.com. Comments are closed.
