Beulah Mae Absher, 86, formerly of New Providence and Peach Bottom, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Sanatoga Court, Pottstown. She was the loving wife of the late William Floyd Absher, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2019. Born in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Burton and Mary Elizabeth (Lockard) Burton. Beulah attended the Willow Street Vocational Technical School (currently LCCTC) and earned a Certified Nursing Assistant certification. For many years she worked as a CNA at Calvert Manor in Calvert, MD. Beulah loved to cook and bake, baking and decorating many wedding cakes over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. Beulah was an excellent caregiver, showing much patience and kindness. She loved her family and was very proud of them. She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Liz) Absher, Woody (Linda) Absher, Raymond (Candy) Absher, and Dave (Nancy) Absher, daughters, Carolyn (Tommy) McMillion and Brenda (Randy) Rowland, 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elvira Absher, a grandson, Thomas McMillion, a great-granddaughter, Lucy Sky McMillion, brothers, John, Charles, George, James, Thomas, Leonard, Lewis, and Curtis Burton, sisters, Harriet Pyle and Alice Graham, and a daughter-in-law, Natalie Absher. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA 17566, with a viewing at the funeral home from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.
