Barbara Ann Rudenos, 67, of Willow Street, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2018, following complications from a stroke. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Betty J. Myers, of Pequea, and the late Robert N. Myers. Barb graduated from Solanco High School in 1969 and was most recently employed as a certified nursing assistant home care provider by Medi-Quest in Lancaster. She was a member of Calvary Church, Lancaster, and the Overcomers Sunday School class. She enjoyed planting flowers, going to the mountains, and traveling to Virginia. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and spending time with them. She was fun-loving and had an easy laugh. She was a peacemaker, a kind and gentle person, always thinking of others first before herself. “Her heart was the kindest and biggest of anyone we know and she never expected anything in return.” Barb is survived by her mother, her brothers, Larry (Linda), of Peach Bottom, Kevin (Joan), of Essex Junction, VT, and her sister, Sharon, of Weyers Cave, VA. Also surviving are nephews, Craig, Brian, and Jedediah Myers, a niece, Jessica Myers, great-nephews, Ehren, Brennen, and Mason, and great-nieces, Autumn and Katelyn, whom all loved their Auntie Barb.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, with a viewing at the funeral home from 10 – 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
