Valerie Perry, 62, of Quarryville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
She was the daughter of Joan Lusk Weyhrauch of Quarryville, and the late Erwin Weyhrauch. Valerie had worked as the store manager for Fine Wine and Good Spirits, Lancaster. Edward A. “Ed” Graetz, 93, of Quarryville, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 16, 2019. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret E. “Peg” Graetz, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Edward M. and Emma M. (Henry) Graetz. Ed was a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. He was employed as an electronics technician with ITT Gilfillan, retiring in 1989 after 45 years. Ed served his country in the Army Air Force from 1945 to 1947. Georgianna Mary (Tuohey) Talley, 80, of Oxford, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Bridgetown, Barbados, while travelling with her family on a Caribbean cruise. She was the beloved wife of Albert Lee Talley, Sr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Born April 6, 1939 to John T., Jr. and Jenny (Hunter) Tuohey in Chester, PA, Georgianna lived in Aston Mills, PA and Chester, PA before moving to Oxford in June 1965. Georgianna will be remembered by her family and friends as a gifted conversationalist and friend to everyone she met. She was happiest with her family during the summer at Rehoboth Beach, DE, where she spent time every year since 1989. She loved the sand, sun and boardwalk; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends at the beach. Known for hosting lively family gatherings throughout the year, the most anticipated being the massive Easter Egg hunts for all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and all the family friends. Virginia Dunham Loch, age 82, of Holtwood, formerly of Yardley, Pa, went to be with her Lord on December 14 at her home. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Loch. Surviving is a daughter Kathleen married to Jeffrey Lizotte. Two grandchildren, Cassandra married to Darin Zook and Caitlin married to Jeremy Gibson and two great grandchildren. Virginia was a former member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and had been active at Rawlinsville Camp Meeting. She had volunteered at New Hope Community Closet and the Solanco Food Bank. Dolores C. "Dolly" Walton, 71, of Drumore, PA, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her home. She was the widow of the late Charles "Charlie" Walton who died April 19, 2019. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Kitch Dewitsky. Dolly enjoyed riding on the motorcycle, gardening, and her trips to Lancaster shopping. Georgiana Frances Erbrecht, 80, of Nottingham, PA, formerly of Upper St. Clair, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Ronald Erbrecht. Born in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late George R. and Anne M. Dernovsek Chappel. Georgiana graduated with a Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Carnegie Institute of Technology and received her Master’s Degree in Art Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Miriam H. Kachel, 97, of Quarryville, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, December 14, 2019. She was the widow of the late Charles H. Kachel. Miriam had retired from Arc Products, Willow Street. She was a member of Mt Hope United Methodist Church. Miriam enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Born in Kinzer PA, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Florence Donley Hershey. David S. Wild, Sr., 78, of New Providence, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was the loving husband of Sandra L. Binkley Wild having celebrated fifty-six years of marriage in March. He was the Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Owner of the former James F. Wild Auto Parts, 345 North Queen Street, Lancaster, which was established in 1911 by his grandfather. Born January 31, 1941 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James F. Wild, Jr. and Constance (Longenecker) Wild. David had attended New Providence Church of God, New Providence. Stanley W. Halsey,86, of Nottingham, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Twin Pines Health Care Center, West Grove.
He was the son of the late John Kent and Mary Millerd Johnston Halsey. 00 Stanley lived in Southern Chester County all of his life. He is survived by three brothers, Marvin Halsey of Nottingham, Edwin Halsey of Oxford and Roland Halsey of Glasgow, DE; and two sisters, Delores Halsey of Newark, DE and Mary Halsey-Connell of Summit, DE. Isaac E. “Ike” Hostetter, 88, of Kirkwood, entered into rest on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Gap, he was the son of the late I. Eby and Ruth (Martin) Hostetter.
He was married to the late Elizabeth M. (Doutrich) Hostetter for 58 years. Ike was a lifelong farmer and an active member of Mechanic Grove Mennonite Church, where he served as a deacon. He had also attended Oak Shade Mennonite Church. Ike volunteered for the Solanco Fair Assoc. and was active with the M.C.C. meat canning in Kirkwood. In later years, he drove for Pine View Trucking. Ike loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. |
