Emanuel L. Beiler, age 71 of 2469 Robert Fulton Hwy, Peach Bottom, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at his home.
He was the husband of Leah L. Riehl Beiler. He was born in Ronks, son of the late Christ P. and Lydia Lapp Beiler. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Surviving besides his wife are 9 children: Lydia R. Beiler of Peach Bottom, Rebecca R. wife of John S. Beiler of Peach Bottom, Emma R. Beiler of Peach Bottom, Fannie R. wife of Emanuel T. Hertzler of Sharpsburg, KY, Hannah R. Belier of Peach Bottom. Elsie R. Beiler of Fredericksburg, OH, Amanda R. Beiler of Peach Bottom, Gideon R. husband of Savilla Y. Smucker Beiler of Brogue, Emanuel L. Beiler, Jr. of Peach Bottom, 15 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 27 step great grandchildren, and 5 siblings: Hannah wife of the late Amos King of Paradise, David husband of Lizzie Beiler Belier of Narvon, Andrew husband of Ruth Beiler Beiler of Ronks, Amanda wife of the late John Ebersol and the late Elam King of Milverton, Canada, and Elmer husband of Annie King Beiler of Oxford. Janet L. Risser, age 84 formerly of New Providence, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of Harry W. Risser, Jr. for 58 years before his passing on April 23, 2020. Born in Revloc, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter & Augusta Tulowitzki Fahlfeder. She was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church in Paradise. Kenneth R. Findley, age 71 of Holtwood, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of the late Kathryn A. Kipphorn Findley who passed away on September 29, 2021. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Mary Jane Rineer Smith of Holtwood and the late Richard G. Smith. Ken attended Bethesda United Methodist Church in Holtwood. He worked as a dairy farmer and later co-owned K&K Findley Transport with his wife Kathryn, hauling livestock and providing transportation for Amish. He enjoyed buying Ayrshire cows, hunting and traveling to see the Elk herd in Northern PA. Mrs. Ruth Ann Long McSparran, 87, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, on Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was born on April 26, 1937, to the late Arthur and Harriet (Eshelman) Long in Lancaster County, PA. She graduated from Solanco High School. Ruth was also very active and enjoyed many sports. She loved all types of crafts, sewing, and quilting. She was an avid baker who always loved baking cookies and cakes. Ruth was a devoted gardener and a reader. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but she also worked various jobs including working as a school librarian. Ruth was always active in her church, wherever she went, teaching Sunday school and being involved any way she could. |
