Janet S. “Boob” Reinhart, age 81 of Kirkwood, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, Easton, MD. She was the wife of the late J. Barrie “Buck” Reinhart for 45 years before his passing on July 2, 2009. Born in Drumore, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Cora Levering Smith. She was a member of the former Colerain Baptist Church in Kirkwood. She owned and operated Reinhart Sub Shop in Kirkwood and worked as a CNA for Ware Presbyterian Village and the former Harrison House Senior Living. Boob loved singing, country music, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and Gunsmoke, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rebecca K. Fisher, age 84 of 192 Sproul Road, Christiana, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home.
She was the wife of the late Ammon F. Fisher who passed on January 27, 2013. She was born in Leacock Township, daughter to the late Abner S. and Hannah King Glick. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by 2 children: Malinda G. wife of Christian P. King of Christiana, Ammon G. husband of Elizabeth L. Esh Fisher of Blanchardville, WI, 29 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 9 siblings: Sarah Stoltzfus of Christiana, Moses husband of Annie Fisher Glick of Quarryville, Joel husband of Lizzie Stoltzfoos Glick of Quarryville, Malinda wife of John Stoltzfoos of Holtwood, Abner Glick of New Jersey, Joseph husband of Mary Stoltzfus Glick of Quarryville, Arie Miller of Strasburg, Levi husband of Sarah Lapp Glick of Quarryville, and Jonas husband of Annie Kauffman Glick of Quarryville. Fred W. Linton Jr., 75, of Kirkwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023. A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Rohrer) Linton Sr. He and his wife, Deborah (Chapman) Linton, were married for 51 years. Those who knew him well, called him Freddie. Fred was a graduate of Solanco High School and Delaware Valley College. His love of agriculture led to a career in farming, specializing in crops and beef cattle. Upon his father’s retirement, he continued the role of local salesperson for Pioneer Seed Corn. He also raised and sold livestock through Linton Show Cattle with his son, Brad. Charles H. Huber, age 79 of Quarryville, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Newport Meadows Nursing Home. He was the husband of Carol Haas Huber for 25 years. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Merle Huber. He worked for Burnham Commercial Boilers in Lancaster. Charles loved to do landscaping, hunting, and watching western movies. Surviving besides his wife is a son; Robert, husband of Brenda Zink of Quarryville, 3 step sons; Joe, husband of Deb DeCola of VA, Gary, husband of Andrea DeCola of Reading, Tim, husband of Amy DeCola of Basking Ridge, NJ, a granddaughter, Kelly, great-granddaughter, Colsyn, 5 step grandchildren, Eric, Nick, Westin, Ayvin, Alex, and 3 step great-grandchildren, Leo, Wyatt, and Dalia. “The Real Deal” David C. Hubbs, 76, of New Providence, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his home. Born in Parkertown, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter S., Jr. and Violet O. (Lefever) Hubbs. He was the companion of Sally Rhoads for many years. David had been the owner and operator of the David C. Hubbs Trucking Co. for over 30 years. He was a member of the National Street Rod Assoc. and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting. Esther M. Goetz, 79, of Lancaster Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Hamilton Arms Center. Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Gladys M. (Rife) Houck. Esther was the wife of the late James H. Goetz, Jr. After her children had grown, Esther worked for years at local flea markets, a plastics manufacturing company, and a senior living community. She enjoyed playing BINGO, and watching NASCAR, football and baseball. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol J. Profeto, 72, a one-year resident of Conowingo, MD, and a lifetime resident of Chester County, PA, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.
Born in Coatesville, PA she was the daughter of the late Lewis R. and Janet Proudfoot Moore. Carol was employed with Devereux Foundation, Malvern as a residential counselor for 35 years. She was a devoted Christian and attended Impact Church, Parkesburg. Carol enjoyed reading, evening coffee, music, family and especially her grandchildren. Myrtle E. Bailey, age 93, of Christiana, PA, peaceful passed away at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Easter morning, Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was the Matriarch of the Family, wife of the late Ralph S. Bailey who passed away on June 25, 2014. She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Charles & Lenora Stevenson Emeigh. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God of Lancaster. In the past she worked as a nursing assistant at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She loved to sing, whistle, read her Bible daily and also enjoyed crocheting. She played Christian Music on the piano and even played for the Residence at Quarryville. Myrtle loved her family and close friends and loved when they came to visit. She enjoyed learning about people and their families, and never forgot anything they told her. She had a great memory, even until the day she passed. She wanted everyone to meet her in heaven someday. Melissa Lauren Iaquinto, 49 of Oxford, PA passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 with her family by her side. She fought a hard 3-year battle with lymphoma. She was the wife of Tony Iaquinto. Born in York, PA she was the daughter of Bruce Smith of Murrells Inlet, SC and the late Joyce Daugherty. Melissa was employed with the Child and Career Development Center, Coatesville as a Teacher assistant working with special need students. She enjoyed working with the children, often referring to it as her calling in life. Melissa went back to school, attending Liberty University, VA pursuing her bachelor’s degree in special education. She was an avid runner, completing seven half marathons, and numerous trail runs, she enjoyed reading, and the outdoors, her family and especially her grandson. E. Jean “Jeanie” Kipp-Bogia, 87, of Quarryville, PA, formerly of Perryville, MD, departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of the late Maurice C. Bogia, sharing 24 years of marriage at his time of passing in 2019. She was also the wife of the late Richard L. “Bud” Kipp, who passed away in 1984. Born in Hooversville, Somerset County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. and Nettie A. (Housel) Berkebile. Following high school, Jean attended nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in a hospital maternity ward for a few years before raising her family. In her later years she was employed as a business receptionist. Jean was an active member of North East Methodist Church in North East, MD, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In her spare time, she looked forward to square dancing. She also enjoyed trips to Florida each year. |
