A Martic Township resident is facing additional charges after state police searched his camper in Martic Township on July 3.
Melvin Hartman of 53 Nissley Ln. was already facing charges following a traffic stop in West Lampeter Township. During that stop, police found what appeared to be explosive devices in his vehicle.
At 7 p.m. on July 3, state troopers searched his camper on Nissley Ln. and found what appeared to be a PVC pipe filled with gunpowder, chemicals that could be used to build a bomb. Those chemicals included aluminum oxide and potassium chlorate as well as numerous containers of black gunpowder.
Troopers also found methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms.
