A motorcycle rider was seriously injured when his Harley Davidson rear ended a horse-drawn carriage on Christiana Pike (Rt. 372) at 10:24 a.m. on June 19, Trooper Michael Levinsky reported.
Devin T. Yake, 23, of Pequea, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment, the trooper said. Yake apparently fell asleep while riding his 2019 Harley west on Christiana Pike, the trooper said.
The driver of the carriage, Stephen L. Stoltzfus, 19, of Christiana, was not hurt.
The horse was transported by Black Horse Animal Hospital.
Yake was cited for careless driving and failing to have a motorcycle license.

EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP
HARASSMENT - Jesse Daniel Becker, 42, of Quarryville, has been charged with harassment following a dispute at 36 Ridgeview Dr. on June 21, Trooper Dennis Castellano reported.
According to the trooper, Becker allegedly punched his victim in the head and then fled the scene. Becker was captured hours later, the trooper said.
COLLISION - Joyce J. Puckett, 76, of Quarryville, was not hurt in a one-vehicle collision on Valley Rd. west of Bushong Rd. at 5:06 p.m. on June 29, Trooper Kurt Yannelli reported.
According to the trooper, Puckett was driving east when she swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle in her lane. The Chevrolet van ran off the right side of the road, and came to rest in a ditch. Puckett was not cited for the collision, the trooper said.
ID THEFT - Someone convinced an Arcadia Trace Rd. resident to send money back after mailing fake checks to the victim, Trooper Adam Hartzell reported.
The incident occurred on June 3.
ASSAULT - Jason Christopher Andrews, 22, of Peach Bottom, was charged with simple assault, strangulation, and harassment following an incident at 125 Jubilee Rd. at 11:3 1p.m. on May 26, Trooper Kurt Yannelli reported.
According to the trooper, Andrews allegedly put his hands around the victim's neck and squeezed hard enough to leave visible injuries.
ASSAULT - A man was arrested after police were called to a property in the 500 block of Bridge Valley Rd. at 3:49 p.m. on June 12, Trooper Nolan McElwee reported.
Following the incident the suspect, described as a 36-year-old man from Eden Township, was taken into custody and charged with simple assault.
Police did not release the suspect's name.
BURGLARY - Someone got into a home in the 100 block of Locust Ln. between June 12 and 14 and made off with several pieces of gold jewelry, Trooper Trevor Gauntlett reported. The missing items are worth about $200, the trooper said.
THEFT - Valentine Nowak of Jarrettsville, Md., was charged with retail theft after allegedly putting $52.28 worth of items in her backpack while she was in BB's Grocery Outlet, 581 Camargo Rd., at 12:24 p.m. on June 29, Trooper Scott Prushinski reported.
VANDALISM - Someone damaged the antenna on a vehicle while it was at 118 Valley Rd. on June 30, Trooper Michael Levinsky reported. The damage was estimated at $904.
