One driver was hurt when a car and a minivan collided on Valley Rd. (Rt. 372) at Hess Rd., Eden Township, at 1:06 p.m. on September 16, Trooper George Lockhart reported.
According to the trooper, Christy L. Meekins, 40, of Elkton, Md., was driving east on Valley Rd. and stopped to turn left onto Hess Rd. Her minivan was hit from behind by a car driven by John T. Whiteside, 83, of Quarryville.
Whiteside was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries and was cited for the collision, the trooper said.
State police also reported the following incidents in the Southern End:
VANDALISM - Someone broke a small garage door window at 11 Lancaster Ave. on September 4, trooper Trevor Gauntlett reported. Damage was estimated at $150.
SUICIDE ATTEMPT - A man drove his car into the house at 45 Pine Dr. at 12:38 p.m. on September 12 and then fled on foot. he was found in the Octoraro Reservoir and taken to a hospital for treatment of numerous injuries and a mental health evaluation, Trooper Michael Artale reported.
HARASSMENT - Miguel Santana, 21, of Peach Bottom, was cited for harassment after he allegedly poured pineapple juice on his sister in an attempt to start a fight at 787 Nottingham Rd. (Rt. 272) at 2:14 p.m. on September 15, Trooper Anthony Urban reported.
DRUGS - Kyle Luttrell, 32, of Lancaster, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after state police encountered him in the 1600 block of Fishing Creek Rd. at 2:06 a.m. on September 14, Trooper Chad Dohner reported.
FRAUD - Someone used a Snyder Hollow Rd. resident's Visa card to make two fraudulent purchases on September 14, Trooper Michael Levinsky reported.
HARASSMENT - Lane Joseph Findley, 22, of Willow Street, was charged with harassment after he allegedly punched another man in the face during a dispute on Buck Heights Rd. at Truce Rd. at 12:30 a.m. on September 15, Trooper Michael Artale reported.
HARASSMENT - Police are investigating a report of child abuse on Groffdale Dr. at 6:07 p.m. on September 5, Trooper George Lockhart reported.
According to the trooper, a man is alleged to have spanked his six-year-old son hard enough to leave marks.
ASSAULT - Police were called to a domestic dispute in 200 block of Mt. Airy Rd. on September 22. When they arrived, they found it had been a verbal dispute, Trooper Jason Krause reported.
