Members of the Historic Covenanter Church Foundation are looking for help.
They need an expert in Scottish memorabilia to evaluate a number of items the nonprofit has been given.
The traditional opening ceremony of the annual Scottish Festival will honor a veteran from the Bart community.
This year's observance will be in the upper cemetery at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church.
That's where Private William A. Nichols is buried.
The annual celebration will be a bit less ornate this year.
"We tried to do too much last year," organizer Barry Girvin said.
In 2012, the yearly service was followed by a concert and a dinner. That was too much for one day, Girvin said.
This year, the celebration at the Historic Covenanter Presbyterian Church will return to traditional format. The day will include a guest speaker, a commemoration of the church's Celtic heritage, and a chance to see the historic documents and artifacts stored in the attached former high school.
