The annual celebration will be a bit less ornate this year.
"We tried to do too much last year," organizer Barry Girvin said.
In 2012, the yearly service was followed by a concert and a dinner. That was too much for one day, Girvin said.
This year, the celebration at the Historic Covenanter Presbyterian Church will return to traditional format. The day will include a guest speaker, a commemoration of the church's Celtic heritage, and a chance to see the historic documents and artifacts stored in the attached former high school.
