On Wednesday morning, February 18, Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak and television host and Restaurant Impossible executive producer Marc Summers walked in the front door of Elkton's Chamber/Alliance and quickly made their way to the back of the building.
The pair were in town for the Restaurant Impossible makeover at Lyon's Pharmacy.
Sajak is a friend of the show's host, Robert Irvine. Those star appearances, work at the pharmacy, and a few extra cars on Elkton's North Street were the only signs that Hollywood had come to town.
Elkton Police Chief Matthew Donnelly was on North Street Wednesday, assessing the situation. "You wouldn't even really know what's going on. There have been no parking issues and no crowd issues. The overnight (remodel) operation went smoothly," said Chief Donnelly. "Our folks kept an extra eye on things. Restaurant Impossible is cooperative." He also said that the visitors from Food Network didn't cost anything. Food Network had their own armed security on site. "We had no extra manpower and no added expense," said Chief Donnelly.
