New toys headed into the hands of deserving children thanks to the efforts of Rising Sun High School.
For the fourth time, students involved in two school organizations teamed up to provide toys for children in need. The National Honor Society and the school's The Buddy System club teamed up and collected 76 toys. Those toys were delivered to Ray of Hope Mission for the mission's annual toy distribution.
The Buddy System is a school club which started at Rising Sun High in 2010. The purpose of that club is to have school students assist fellow students with disabilities.
The members of the National Honor Society are students who have earned academic success as well as demonstrated character and performance of community service.
