The annual Civil War Reenactment scheduled for this weekend in Rising Sun has been postponed.
"It's the weather. We are supposed to have torrential rains," said Tom Mumey, President of the Rising Sun Historical Preservation Commission, which hosts the event.
The event will now be held Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. October 23 will be the living history presentations for school children.
"I'm very definitely sorry but the reenactors asked us to postpone," said Mumey. He also said the schools have been notified about the scheduling change, which was made today (September 29).
