A year ago, organizers of the Elkton's Own Antique Roadshow event opted to allow the people to decide if the event would continue.
And it is.
The 2016 event will be held Saturday, February 20 from noon until 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Town of Elkton Social Hall second floor, 100 Railroad Avenue, Elkton. The way the program works is that people can bring up to five items for appraisal. For a fee of $5 per item, a local appraiser will tell you the value of what you have.
The $5 per item fee goes to the Elkton Alliance and is used for programs that promote the town. There is a limit of five items to be appraised per person.
Even if you don't have anything you want to have appraised, you can still turn out to watch the event. There is always a small group of onlookers who like to watch the appraisers in action. There is a $2 entry fee for those who wish to watch.
For more information about this event call 410-398-5076 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The plan for the future is to hold this event in alternating years.
