You don't have to make a weekly commitment to camp.
Elkton Parks and Recreation is offering drop in day-to-day programs at their Camp Discovery.
Camp programs are for children ages 5-12 and there is a different theme each week. Camp is held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Extended care is available beginning at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. There are weekly feed trips
Daily rates on no trip days are $40 for two days for Elkton town residents and $44 for non residents.
With trips it cost $50 for town residents and $54 for non residents.
Weekly resident rates range from $90-$100 for residents and $100-$110 for non residents. There are multi-children discounts.
This week, June 22-26, the camp theme is Under the Sea. The trip is to Jump On Over. The week of June 29-July 2 (no camp July 3) the theme is Party in the USA. The trip is bowling at Elk Lanes. The week of July 6-10, the camp theme is Buck Wild. The trip is to Cherry Crest. The week of July 13-17 the theme is Island Oasis. The trip is to Sahara Sam's.
The week of July 20-24, the them is Up, Up and Away. The trip is to Stratosphere Trampoline Park. The week of July 27-31 the theme is Roll Out the Red Carpet. The trip is to Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. The week of August 3-7, the theme is Under the Big Top. The trip is to Oasis Family Fun Center. The week of August 10-14 the theme is Final Fling. The trip is to Clemonton Park.
Camp is held at the Elkton Municipal Building, Railroad Avenue, and at Meadow Park. Campers should bring lunch and a water bottle each day. Afternoon snack is provided by the camp.
In other business from the Town of Elkton:
• The Town of Elkton will not hold a workshop meeting during July. They will instead have regular town meetings both the second and third weeks in July.
