Get ready to reel them in.
The Wellwood Club, Herb's Tackle Shop, and Sarge's Tackle Shop are teaming up for the annual Riverfest Fishing Tourney.
The event is set for Saturday, August 8 from 9-11 a.m. at the Historic Charlestown Stone Wharf at Long Point Park.
There will be an awards cook-out for all anglers and their families at Veterans Park Beach following the fishing tournament.
Bait and rods will be provided for those who don't have them. This event is supported by the Northern Bay Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportsfishing Association.
In other business from Charlestown:
• The Movies in the Park series has returned to Charlestown. The movies are shown at the town athletic field at dusk on each of the scheduled evenings.

• Those who use Charlestown's utilities will notice rate hikes on the current bills. Water and sewer rates increased beginning July 1.
The water minimum for in town residences for 13,500 gallons is $63.10. The sewer minimum is $76.55 for 10,000 gallons.
For out of town the water minimum is $100.45 for 13,500 gallons. Sewer minimum is $110.95 for 10,000 gallons.
Both in town and out of town customers pay a $15 per quarter Bay Restoration Fee (flush tax).
