Dylan Hastings had 26 points; Jon Rush added 11, including three treys, and Robbie McHugh scored 10 as the Mules dominated from the start. Solanco led 36-14 at the half and held the Comets to two points in the third quarter, coasting to a 29 point winning margin. Also contributing to the point total was Aaron Constein (5), Braden Redcay (5) and Alec Munro (2). Seeing court time for the Mules were Mike Worthington, Colin Kilgore, Dawson Kreider, Carson Kilgore, Dan Siegrist and Jack Boomsma. The Mules hit on 15 of 18 (83.3 percent) from the charity stripe. Rush, McHugh and Constein were perfect from the foul line, each going two for two.
Hastings netted 26 points, including a season high five treys, in a 65-39 win over York Suburban on Monday, December 12. Solanco led 36-20 at the half and held the Trojans to single digits in both the first and fourth quarter. Redcay also hit for double digits connecting for 10 points. Joining the scoring parade were Worthington (8), McHugh (7), Constein (6), Kilgore (4) and Rush (4). Court time was granted to Jack Boomsma, Carson Kilgore, Dawson Kreider, Alec Munro and Dan Siegrist. The Mules went 15 for 26 (57.6 percent) from the charity stripe with Worthington hitting a perfect six for six. In junior varsity action the Mules defeated the Trojans 55-51. Solanco continued its winning ways, downing Conestoga Valley 55-51 on Wednesday, December 14. Leading 26-18 at the half the Mules added 29 in the second half to seal the deal. Hastings hit for 21 to lead the Mules in the scoring column. Rush (14-points) nailed three treys and McHugh hit double digits with 10 points. Completing the scoring were Kilgore (4), Constein and Redcay, who each pumped in three. Worthington also saw court time. The Mules connected on 14 of 19 (73.7 percent) from the charity stripe. Manheim Central proved they're the team to beat in the Section corralling the Mules in a 78-42 win. The Mules hung with the Barons during the first quarter, down by only three, but the visiting team scored 22 second quarter points while holding the Mules to eight to end the half leading 38-22. A 26 point Baron fourth quarter sealed the Mules fate and saddled them with the loss. Hastings was the leading Mule scorer with 13. McHugh joined Hastings in the double digit column with 10. Rush (5), Redcay (4), Constein (3) added to the totals, with Munro, Kilgore and Worthington each scoring two points on the night. Kreider connected on one of two from the foul line for one point.
