Valentine came through with her second RBI hit of the inning then Simpkins did the same. Ally Comley capped the rally with an RBI single to left. Madison Ore picked up the victory. It was a back and forth affair until the fifth. North East countered in the home half with a two-run single by Elizabeth Ramey. North East added a run in the second. Ginny Coker grounded a single up the middle, moved up a base on a wild pitch, and scored on Katy Hammer's single. Rising Sun tied it in the top of the third. Bella Saponaro bounced a single over the first baseman's head, stole second, and advanced to third when Dixon's popup to shallow center fell in between three North East fielders. Both runners scored when North East made two errors following a ground ball off the bat of Stickney. North East regained the lead when Olivia Hafner lined an RBI single to center to score Ramey. Rising Sun took advantage of a couple North East errors and an Ore single to tally twice in the top of the fourth to go up 5-4. North East answered with three runs without benefit of a hit to take a 7-5 lead. In the second game of the day, Alyssa Kantian tossed a shutout to help Havre de Grace top Perryville 11-0.
