Chris Melrath tossed five solid innings and Sean Goodie blasted a three-run homer to pace the Tigers. The Rising Sun girls lacrosse team lost 19-5 to host Harford Tech Monday, April 14. Hayley Benson tallied twice for the Tigers. Sarah Yashinskie collected a goal and an assist. Carley Cline contributed a goal. Rachel Brown was credited with a goal when a pass from Jackie Barbon deflected off her stick and into the cage. The Cobras led 13-4 at halftime. The Perryville girls and the Elkton boys won a three-team meet at Rising Sun last Thursday. The Panthers (80.5) won the girls competition over Elkton (58.5) and Rising Sun (39). Sierra Montz captured three individual events to pace Perryville. Montz prevailed in the high hurdles (10.3 seconds), intermediate hurdles (52.28), and long jump (13-8). The game was played in Rising Sun, but the Tigers were designated as the visiting team since they served as the home team during the first meeting in Bel Air, which was also won by the Tigers in nine innings. The Rising Sun boys lacrosse team lost 7-3 to Havre de Grace Wednesday evening.
