William E. Kight, Jr., 77, of Lime Valley Road, Strasburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Lancaster Regional Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Keen Kight who died February 15, 2006. Born in Colerain Township, he was the son of the late William E. and Rhoda Fay McCardell Kight. Bill retired from Burnham Boiler after 29 years of employment as a welder and fitter. He was a lifetime member of Pequea Valley Sportsman’s Association and a former member of Strasburg Sportsman’s Association. Bill loved to hunt, especially groundhogs, and going to the mountains in Perry County. But most of all, he loved and enjoyed his family. He is survived by 4 children, Judith A. (Ulyses) Childs of Arlington, TX, John D. Rineer and his companion Audrey Anderson of Paradise, David A. (Sandra J.) Kight of Lancaster, Kathleen F. (Harold) Rineer, Jr. of Strasburg; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Lamm of TN and Lee Lamm of GA. He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren and a brother Harold Lamm.
