Virginia L. Myers, 79, formerly of Holtwood died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Up until her passing, Virginia devoted her care to her husband, Chester B. Myers, Jr., who died in 1973. Born in Princewick, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bruce C. and Lucille V. Allen Parsons. Virginia retired from Hamilton Tech, Lancaster in 1998 where she had been employed as an assembler for 23 years. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, and doing all kinds of puzzles. She also was a great advice giver with a sense of humor to go with it. Surviving her is a sister Drema L. wife of Levi “Butch” Work of New Providence; a nephew John Anthony (Catherine) Work; a niece Brenda L. (James) Diller; 6 great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Parsons.
Funeral services will be held at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, 625 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00AM with Chaplain Larry Roff officiating. Interment will follow in Nottingham Missionary Baptist Cemetery. A viewing will be held at QPRC from 10:00AM until the time of service.
