Shirley D. Fantom, 72, of Peach Bottom, passed peacefully at home on Friday, October 19, 2018 (her Mother’s birthday), after a battle with cancer. She was born in Elizabethtown to the late David and Mildred (Nauss) Dohner. She was the loving wife of Jacob A. Fantom for 52 years. She was surrounded in the last 5 days of her life by many friends and family. Shirley’s desire was to say: “see you later” to as many people as she could. As a family, we thank each of you who made that happen. Shirley was a member of Chestnut Level Church. She had a great love for Jesus, which she shared through her card ministry. She had sent thousands of homemade cards through the years, each one was specific to the person she was sending the card to. Shirley’s smile and hearty laugh lit up a room. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved playing games, going to breakfast with friends, going to the beach, crocheting, church activities, going to the Y to swim, shopping for clothes, and had a passion for flower gardening. Shirley graduated from Elizabethtown High School, Lancaster School of Cosmetology, Consolidated School of Business and took many classes for reflexology. Shirley is survived by 3 children: Oleta (Steve Roland), Jeanine (John Graybill), and Jason (Tricia); siblings: Ruth, Linda, Dorothy, and David; 8 grandchildren: Amanda, Justin, Brandon, Ally, Alyssa, Cammy, Justin, and Cole; 3 great grandchildren: Emma, Nolan, and Mya and her very special friend, Eva Olson.
