Robert M. Sheaffer of Loop Rd., Quarryville, died on Sunday morning, December 14, 2014. He was 78. Mr. Sheaffer was born in Christiana, a son of the late Milton and Gertrude Moore Sheaffer. He had worked as a groundskeeper at Meadia Heights and Tanglewood golf courses. He then worked as a front end loader operator at American Infrastructure Quarry, Paradise. Mr. Sheaffer enjoyed his backyard pool, hunting, fishing, and following NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Shelby Wilburn Sheaffer; his son, Wade, husband of Denise Sheaffer of Nickel Mines; two stepsons, Robert, husband of Deb McNatt Myers of Holtwood and Jeff, husband of Jen Myers of New Providence; his stepdaughter, Barbara, wife of Jimmy Flanary of Grandbury, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dee, wife of Gene Handle of Quarryville, and Mildred Graham of Quarryville.
Two sons, Paul Sheaffer and James Sheaffer; two grandchildren, Davey and Shelby; a great-grandchild, Justin; and a stepson, David Myers, are deceased. Friends may call at the Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19. Services will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating. Burial will be in the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery. Comments are closed.
