Robert G. “Bob” Findley, 88, of Strasburg, entered into rest on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his home. Born in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Paul M. and Erma (Graham) Findley. He was married to the late Mary Ann Findley for over 65 years. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army and had been a residential and commercial carpenter having worked for Diller Plank and then retiring from Benchmark Construction Company in 2009. Bob was a member of Zion U.C.C. for over 50 years and also attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Bob is survived by 2 daughters: Glenna, wife of Clifford Wilson of Marietta; and Barbara, wife of Roy Bollinger of Willow Street. Also surviving are 2 grandsons: Daniel, husband of Monica Wilson and David, husband of Abby Bollinger; 9 great-grandchildren: Tyson, Kameika, Zavier, Cavahn, Lexyana, Ryker, Grayson, Rowen, and Bella; and a brother, Richard Findley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Karl Findley. A funeral service will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 227 W. Fourth St., Quarryville on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Zion U.C.C. Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
