Ralph L. DuBree, Jr., 82, of Quarryville entered into rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Born in Fishing Creek, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Ralph L., and Florence (Rineer) DuBree. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, JoAnne R. (Renier) DuBree. Ralph served our country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1954-1956. Ralph was a mechanic having worked at the former Wenger Pontiac and was also head of the service dept. for the former Ray’s Appliances. Ralph retired in 1999 from the maintenance dept. at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. He was an active member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, Quarryville Lions Club, American Legion, and the Good Sam Camping Club. Ralph volunteered with the Providence Twp. Ambulance Assoc. and also served with Providence Twp. for over 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing in the Outer Banks, and spending time with the “Gang” and his family. In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by 2 daughters: Brenda, wife of Gary Braightmeyer of Quarryville and Bonnie, wife of Jeffrey Wolfe of Mt. Joy. Also surviving is a sister, Alice, wife of Charles Diller of Lancaster and 3 nephews.
A service celebrating Ralph’s life will take place at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Rd., Quarryville on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Traditional interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a viewing at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
