Patricia Ann (McMillan) Willerup, 75, born to Rex and Frances McMillan on December 6th, 1942, passed away at home on June 16, 2018, with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband Bruce, whom she met when they were both just ten years old. They never dated anyone else and were married for 53 years. She is also survived by her children Deborah Boos (Mark), David Willerup (Autumn), and Amy Benton (Allan); granddaughters Carolyn Chambers (Ben), Rebekah Boos, Mariah, Emma and Samantha Willerup, and Emily, Alexa, and Elaina Benton; sisters, Peggy Lewellen and Deanne Farino (Jack). She is preceded into the presence of the Lord by her parents and her grandchildren Eric (2003) and Ava Benton (2009). Along with spending time with her family, her greatest joys were to grow in faith and serve Jesus Christ, the last thirteen years through the Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church where she taught adult Sunday school, moderated the Board of Deacons and Presbyterian Women, prepared meals for Wednesday Night Alive, and founded the annual Savor the Seasons celebration. Pat and Bruce raised their family and served in Wappingers Falls, NY for 40 years, where she co-led a youth group with Bruce for fifteen years, cooked for Meals on Wheels, taught at Wappingers Junior High and at Sylvan Learning Center, and served with the Mid-Hudson Tres Dias. She was known for her beautiful cakes made for family and friends. Her baking skill and artistic craftsmanship were unparalleled.
Visitation with the family will be at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, June 20th from 5:30-7:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 PM. A reception with light refreshments will follow the service. Interment will be at the family’s convenience.
