Oleta R. Roland, 54, of Peach Bottom, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Shirley (Dohner) Fantom. She was the loving wife of Steven Roland for 34 years. Oleta had worked for a short time as a medical secretary and had most recently been employed by All Notary and Tags in Mechanic Grove. She was the principal for the Solid Foundations homeschool group during her homeschooling years and also volunteered with the Clermont Elementary School P.T.O. She attended Wesley Church. Oleta loved the beach and spending time on or near the water. She was known for her hospitality and big heart, whether it was hosting parties or Tuesday’s Family Fun Night, her door was always open and her home was a place where anyone was welcome. She enjoyed shopping, playing games, scrapbooking, flower gardens, and most of all spending quality time with her family. In addition to her husband, Oleta is survived by her children: Amanda, wife of Robert Benson of Quarryville; Brandon Roland of Reading; and Ally and Alyssa Roland both at home; 3 grandchildren: Emma, Nolan, Mya, and a baby girl due in December; and siblings: Jeanine (John) Graybill and Jason (Tricia) Fantom and her dear friend, Eva Olson.
She was preceded in death by her son, Justin Andrew Roland, who passed away on June 6, 2021. A service celebrating Oleta’s life will be held at Wesley Church and will be announced in the future.
