Mary Ann Findley, 87, of Strasburg Twp., entered into rest on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Schmalhofer) Lobeck. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert G. Findley. Mary Ann was a proud graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, class of 1946. She went on to work for Armstrong and was the secretary at Willow Street Elementary School for many years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and a past member of the Quarryville American Business Women of America. Mary Ann loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very active in their many school activities. In addition to her husband, Mary Ann is survived by 2 daughters: Glenna, wife of Clifford Wilson of Marietta; and Barbara, wife of Roy Bollinger of Willow Street; 2 grandchildren: Daniel, husband of Monica Wilson and David, husband of Abby Bollinger; 9 great grandchildren: Tyson, Kameika, Zavier, Cavahn, Lexyana, Ryker, Grayson, Rowen, and Bella. Also surviving are siblings: William Lobeck, Rose Gilland, Bernadette Hartshorne and Kathleen Bowers. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Johnson.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Speitel as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion U.C.C. Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church from 10-11 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
