Lester C. Jamison of North East, Md., died on Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was 90. Mr. Jamison was born in Fulton Township, one of 12 children born to Howard and Leta Dawson Jamison. He lived in Little Britain before moving to North East. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He worked for W.L. Temple and later was an independent trucker working out of the Cedar Hill and Maryland Materials stone quarries. He was a skilled mechanic and inspected trucks for Mar-Del Trucking until he was well into his 80s. Mr. Jamison and his daughter, Lesanne, had a woodcraft business, Daddy, Mom, & Me Crafts, for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Null of North East and Lesanne, wife of Phil Hudson of Elkton, Md.; his son, Lester II, husband of JoAnn Jamison of Little Britain; grandchildren, Holli, wife of Bill Francisconi of Elkton, Cassie, wife of Chris Phipps of Elkton, Sean, husband of Hannah Jamison, Patricia Jamison, Curtis, husband of Deborah Sheets, and Craig, husband of Keston Sheets; great-grandchildren, Rocky Francisconi, Tara Phills, Curtis Sheets Jr., and Colton Sheets; and his sister, Gyla Fuller of Oxford. Friends may call at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 30. Services will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. on that date. Burial will be in the Penn Hill Friends Burial Ground.
