Jacob A. Fantom, 79, of Peach Bottom, passed away peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, with his family by his side. Born in Conoy Twp., he was the son of the late Jacob H. and Theresa (Sager) Fantom. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley (Dohner) Fantom just 8 months ago. They were married for 53 years. Jake was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. He had milked for various local farmers through the years, including Clifford Holloway, Turkey Hill Dairies, and Sam Long. You could take Jake off the farm, but the farm was always in his heart. Jake spent the last 26 years of his life courageously fighting for his life. He endured a liver transplant, kidney dialysis, heart issues, and many surgeries. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Conestoga View for the great care that he received. Jake will be lovingly missed by 3 children: Oleta (Steve Roland), Jeanine (John Graybill), and Jason (Trish) Fantom.
