Harvey R. England Sr. of Quarryville died at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, on Saturday, May 24, 2014. He was 71. Mr. England was born in Hopewell, a son of the late Roger and Frances Herr England. He had worked for Eschbach Bus Service as a mechanic and bus driver for 16 years. Mr. England enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycle riding, playing cards, following the career of NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson, and John Deere tractors. He is survived by his son, Harvey R. Jr., husband of Diana England of Peach Bottom; his daughter, Theresa England, companion of Paul Hopkins of Pedrickton, N.J.; two grandchildren, Brandon Dooley of Paradise, and Tiffany Marie Kalinowski of Salem, N.J.; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest, husband of Naomi England of Oxford and Roger Jr., husband of Marge England of Nottingham; three sisters, Joyce Sprout of Quarryville, Margaret Ann, wife of Nelson Quillen of Lancaster, and Barbara, wife of Michael Claflin of Pottstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Alfred R. England and Earl England, are deceased. A memorial service will be held at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. on that date. Private burial was in Union Cemetery.
