Elsie A. McComsey, 89, of Willow Valley Communities, Willow Street, PA died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on May 17th. Elsie was the widow of Eugene “Gene” McComsey who died June 9, 2000. Born in Drumore, PA she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elva Graybill Probst. Early in life she had been employed as an assembler both for Schick and AMP. She was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. Elsie was an avid traveler, especially to their cabin in Ickesburg, PA. She enjoyed landscaping, both vegetable and flower gardening, and word puzzles. Surviving her are 2 brothers, Kenneth (Evelyn) Probst of Drumore, John Probst of Peach Bottom; 3 sisters, Esther Morris of Lancaster, Shirley Esbenshade of Manheim, Jacqueline Miller of Quarryville; and many nieces and nephews on both the Probst and McComsey sides of the family.
She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Eugene Probst, Roy Probst, Janet Hohenwarter, Fred Probst, and Donald Probst. Funeral services will be held from Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, June 4th at 11:00AM with Rev. John Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in Quarryville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
