Ella Elizabeth Fisher, 91, formerly of Cumberland, Maryland, entered into rest at her home in Quarryville on May 23, 2017. Born in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Dewey Lewis Sr., and Leona Rose (Stevenson) Lewis. She was the beloved wife of Charles G. Fisher for over 70 years. Ella was a talented seamstress, known for sewing quilts and clothing. She enjoyed reading and studying history of all kinds. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. She loved spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cheryl D. Fisher of Quarryville; grandchildren: Erik C. Schlagnhaufer, husband of Angela Kreider. Gretchen M., wife of Forrest Curran; and Rachel B. Cahill. Also surviving are her beloved great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Graydon Schlagnhaufer; Amanda and Erin Curran; and Veronica Cahill; a brother, Edwin Dewey Lewis, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, PA 17566 on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Interment will be held in the Greenmount Cemetery, Cumberland, Maryland on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
