Elizabeth P. “Libby” Taylor, 89, of Lancaster, passed on to Jesus in the presence of her family on July 18, 2017. Born in Drumore, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl Ethel (Jones) Hanna. Her husband, J.C. Taylor, passed in 1999. Libby loved being a mom and working in her vegetable garden. She, along with her husband, established Taylor’s Auto Repair, and in later years, Taylor’s Mobile Home Park, along with other rental property investments. She was a member of Strasburg Baptist Church. Libby is survived by a son, John Taylor, of Lancaster; a daughter, Judy, wife of Ted Brown, of Quarryville; daughter-in-law, Kim Taylor, wife of the late son Bob Taylor, and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Taylor. She also has 9 grandchildren: Troy, Wendy, Jase, Brent, Ashley, Angie, Todd, Travis, and Abbey, along with 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and son Bob, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Hanna. Libby’s final months were spent living with and being cared for by her daughter. Her family was always present and kept her smiling. She will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 am from Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, followed by interment in the Quarryville Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The family encourages everyone to wear something pink in Libby’s honor, and in lieu of flowers consider making a contribution to Strasburg Baptist Church, 120 Hartman Bridge Road, Ronks, PA 17572.
