E. Marie Eager of River Rd., Drumore, died at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was 72. Mrs. Eager was born in Paradise, a daughter of the late Alfred and Edith V. Rice Mowrer. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Eager served as a scorekeeper for Little League baseball for 18 years.
She enjoyed Sunday fishing excursions and hauling Amish. Mrs. Eager is survived by her husband of 53 years, George F. Eager Jr.; five sons, George "Spark" III, husband of Jelethia Eager, Gerald, husband of Lynn Eager, Greg, husband of Melissa Eager, Richard, husband of Darlene Eager, and Garrod "Worm" Eager; nine grandchildren, Erin Eager Goe, MOrgan Eager, Chelsea Eager, Anthony Eager, Adrienne Eager, Clayton Eager, Remington Tshudy, Tucker Tshudy, and Trishina Mayberry; and a great-granddaughter, Lane Taluba. Four siblings, Everett Mowrer, Paul Mowrer, Timothy Mowrer, and Faye Mowrer Good. Friends may call at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, January 5, and at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Rd., Quarryville, from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6. Services will be held from the church at 11 a.m. on that date with the Rev. Dr. Michael R. Wilson and the Rev. Dwight Lefever officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
